A beautiful guest house located on the beach, approximately a mile away from the Ashram. It takes about 20 minutes by walk and 5 minutes by bicycle to get to the Ashram from here. It has 1, 2, 3, 4 bedded rooms. The total number of rooms is 85. Most of the rooms have balconies facing the sea and offer a nice sea view. Facilities include reading room, meditation room, garden, restaurant, laundry, bicycle, scooter rental and parking space (owner driven cars).
The Ashram Park Guest House situated within a mile of the main Ashram building. These are meant for visitors to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and not for the casual tourist looking for inexpensive accommodation in Pondicherry.
The guest house are not commercial hotels: there are no phones, TVs, or WiFi connections in the rooms, nor is there any provision for room service. Most close their gates at 10.30 pm and guests are expected to return by that time. There are also strict rules regarding cleanliness and conduct.

All visitors from abroad must be registered with the Indian Government's Foreigners' Registration Office (FRO). Only three guest houses mentioned below have the necessary authorization to do this registration.
